We work at the front line of the new paradigm of Chemical Engineering using all of its tools. Our scope goes from the synthesis of nanomaterials to their use in wastewater treatment. Research performed by our group focuses on environmental catalyst, including development of new materials (meso, micro and nanomaterials) from byproducts, mineral and natural resources, and their use in the degradation of aqueous and atmospheric pollutants.

We have strong ties to Colombian industries and have developed several investigations with them aiming at adding value to their ‘wastes’ (we prefer to call them ‘byproducts’).
